Alabama now no longer plans to redshirt Taulia Tagovailoa – AL.com

There’ll likely be a Tagovailoa playing quarterback on Saturday for Alabama.

With Tua Tagovailoa out for the comfort of the season, the Crimson Tide’s concept has changed for Tua’s little brother, freshman quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa.

Alabama had been planning to redshirt Taulia. No longer anymore.

Taulia is the team’s new backup quarterback and he’s save to derive some playing time against Western Carolina this weekend.

“We’re gonna play him this week in this game some roughly diagram irrespective of how the sport goes to seize a mediate about at to derive him some expertise, some playing time and optimistically some self perception,” head coach Gash Saban said. “Once we had the terrible shatter final week to Tua, that roughly negated the chance to be able tor redshirt to Taulia.”

Taulia performed in Four games as the zero.33 quarterback at the wait on of his brother and Mac Jones and enters this weekend 7 for 9 for sixty five yards.
