Delta warns of flight delays after technical disaster snarls compare-ins and boarding – CNBC

Delta Air Traces warned Wednesday that flights will be delayed after a “technical disaster” hit some of its platforms, preventing passengers from checking in.

“Delta is working hastily to take care of a technical disaster impacting some of our applications along with customers’ skill to e book, register and board,” the airline mentioned in an announcement. “Some delays are expected.”

Delta failed to straight away direct what triggered the disaster or how many flights had been delayed.

The airline previously mentioned a scheme-wide outage in August 2016 rate it $150 million in earnings. Outages own also hit American and United in recent years.
